Chicago, Evanston leaders push for noncitizens to vote in local elections – Illinois Policy

Noncitizens are currently barred from voting in federal elections by federal law and state elections by the Illinois Constitution. But changes could be made in who is allowed to vote in local elections, such as school boards and municipal offices.

And so it begins. If you don’t like the Constitution, change it to fit your agenda. Baby steps and then the big stomp down.

I think Evanston should be excluded from having local elections on the same days as federal, State , county and township elections. Also the local elections should be open to all who wander into a polling place .

We all know that the great fraud is upon us.

Knew this was coming. Dems let them in to vote Democratic. Dem voter fraud at its finest. The US constitution states that only citizens can vote. Now IL and Chicago are against the US constitution. Just as bad as Dems registering nursing home patients. Should not be allowed if those patients have a diagnosis of dementia or Alzheimer’s.

In other words, they are saying being a legal citizen, born or naturalized, doesn’t matter. Only legal citizens should vote. Come here illegally and you’re upset you can’t vote? You have multiple choices, including working to become a citizen so you can vote. If citizenship becomes meaningless, what’s left?

Basically citizens have the “privilege” of paying taxes to support Biden’s illegals.

Hmm…

I wonder what would happen if these ‘noncitizens’ voted overwhelmingly (R)…?

Would there then be a push to bar them from voting…? ? ?

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
