Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. ABC News makes me puke as does ch 7. With their oh so woke news readers.some of them Seeth with hate. Evalyn Holmes is good to have around if your car runs out of gas. She can push it to the gas station.
And Channel 7 is the least woke of the other two (NBC/CBS). Fox News local is not good.
ABC is an embarrassment on both the local and national level. From Tanja Babich being a shill for her father in law Dick Durbin to George Stephanopoulos continuing to sing the praises of the Clinton crime family. It isn’t journalism, it’s propaganda.
It’s about the gangs. It’s always been about the gangs. Violence and killing are their business. Why doesn’t Lori talk about the gang problem and do something about it so there aren’t so many murders in Chicago!
Anyone else watching videos of rioting and looting in South Africa, and worry?? It’s a thin thin thin line between begrudging civility and sudden chaos.
War zone doesn’t accurately describe the situation because there are not organized militia groups fighting for a specific purpose; and there is no commander the city can call to ask for a cease fire.
Anarchy is a better word to describe the situation, where gang bangers and criminals run free, killing, looting, assaulting, stealing, carjacking. It’s real life Grand Theft Auto the video game in Chicago and the cops are only catching a handful of the criminals. There’s a break down in civil order and when there are no rules, criminals and street thugs fill the vacuum.
The shooters and wilding folks do not think of themselves as criminal because elites have brainwashed them into believing that anarchy is progressive justice, reparations and the right thing to do…you know, because of slavery and Jimmy C. A young gang banger mugs somebody and plucks down cash on mamma’s table, thinking it noble. The real criminals are the ones promoting anarchy and uncivil behavior just for political and economic leverage, those who preach nonsense. Media, activists and politicians are not anybody’s friends.
