Employees at 30 Chicago hotels will take a strike authorization vote Wednesday that threatens to ground — at least temporarily — the golden goose that is the local tourism industry.

Three of the hotels are Hyatt. Someone tell union-friendly JB.

I travel extensively. One of the first things I do when booking a new hotel is check and see if they have a union staff. If they do, I look for a different hotel. It surprised me to learn how many Hilton and Marriott Hotels had union staffs.
