I just want to know…. Why hasn’t WGN or Beetlejuice toured the hospitals around the city to show us just how bad things are? Surely, they could wear a cloth mask, surgical mask, or even a poorly fit N95 mask and be safe right? Hell, put on a biohazard suit, but get in there – show us the devastation! It’ll make for a good PSA…
I think they need to get into the trenches and really hit the “stay home or this could be you!” message….
Lockdowns are unconstitutional.
Data. Prove from where the infections are coming… Prove the number of hospitalized. Demonstrate with facts, not bobbing heads the risk of this plague and the need to continue to destroy our economy and so many businesses.
And, finally, lead. Don’t hide in your respective basements be-masked and shaking with fear.

This is serious people. You need to stay home and limit gatherings. If you value life you will heed this warning. I can not stress how important it is to lock down and stay home…starting Monday. Until then nothing to see here.

Mortality is not a virus. Try making it so, and you will live the rest of your years in a mental prison. FYI, wearing a mask does nothing but increase the chances of getting any number of respiratory illnesses. This particular bug is a blood clotting issue. That has been known since last spring.
For my age group, I have a 99.5% probability of surviving Covid. I’m at bigger risk for being mugged by a BLM rioter on the Mag Mile. I’ll take my chances.

My guess is that you are one of those people who ride alone in their car wearing a mask. I don’t think that people should spend their lives afraid of their shadow but if one chooses to do so that’s fine with me. But forcing others to live like cowering mice is disgusting, deeply unamerican and unconstitutional.
I was laughing that Lori wanted to lock down but also wanted to wait until Monday. Telling someone that this is life or death but you have until Monday is just funny to me. I thought the sarcasm was clear but I guess not.
Sorry. I apologize. I missed the sarcasm. In a real world of politicians working on behalf of the citizens, a functioning government, an unbiased and truthful media and rational behavior, sarcasm would easy to see. However, the “Until Monday” is just another in a long line of absurd and silly government “solutions”. If this pandemic doesn’t convince Americans that government is the very worst solution for most problems I don’t know what will convince them.
And what is it with the people riding alone in their car while wearing a mask?? If it were a one-off rare sighting I’d dismiss it but instead it is very common. I am genuinely baffled by this behavior.
They crack me up as well. I tend to cut older people slack thinking maybe they struggle getting it on right and can’t quickly put it on before they enter their destination. Maybe an Uber/Lyft driver because they wear it so often they forgot that they have it on. Everyone else provides me with a smile to my day.
