What a silly fool. Does anyone tell her that in 40-45 state the virus and masks are old news. Drive through 6-8 states to get to Florida or southern Alabama for some good weather and masks are a joke– and guess what! No one is sick either. It is heartbreaking to say, but she, Chicago and Illinois are a punchline in a major portion of the country. The mask jokes are even more popular than the crime and tax jokes. How sad, for what used to be such a great place.

will be nutty if entire city and state is essentially mask-less by March while CPS continues the draconian Covid lock-downs till August when CTU’s negotiated contract expires. And example #1 for rep gov candidates to go after Amendment 1.

„Noting that she caught a mild case of COVID-19, Lightfoot said she intends to continue wearing a mask, particularly in restaurants where diners will soon have no idea whether other customers are vaccinated.” Considering that she herself is vaccinated, and I’d bet dollars to donuts that everyone around her is as well, and that she wears her mask pretty much all the time (at least while cameras are rolling), it’s most likely that she caught her case of Covid from one of her vaxxed underlings while wearing her mask…. Once again shining a giant spotlight on the lunacy and complete… Read more »

Never again people. Never again. Once they come off – do not put them back on. Same with the jabs – if you took a few no more. Businesses stand up for yourselves and take back your freedoms. Take their boot off of your neck yourself and set them back. Do not comply.

Found a substack.com author who states my objection to the masks better than I could: I don’t care if masks work. I don’t care if they work directly. I don’t care if they work indirectly. I don’t care if they work inside but not outside; I don’t care if they work on young people or old people; I don’t care if they work on dead people! I don’t even care if they are strangling me with CO2 and promoting a fungal infection that will literally eat my brain! All I care about is that they’re stupid, and uncomfortable, . .… Read more »

Just look to the north to understand what these people are all about.

Relieved to get your rights back?

You should be livid they ever thought they could take them in the first place. Never forget what they’ve done these past two years.

Forgive. Never forget.

Her mask isn’t big enough. I can still see some of her face.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
