Chicago Mayor Blames “Right-Wing Extremism” For City’s Migrant Crisis: “It’s Raggedy” – RealClear Politics

Johnson: "Everyone knows that the right-wing extremism in this country has targetted Democratically-ran cities and quite frankly, they've been very intentional about going after Democratically-ran cities that are led by people of color.... They're still mad that a black man is free in this country. This is nothing new."

How do you evaluate this guy without using langauge that suggests ad hominem attacks. He is simply unintelligent. He is simply incapable of functioning at a high enough level to understand his own inadequacy – Dunning Krueger effect personified.

But, the truly sad part – and this applies to Biden as well – is that there are people around both of them who understand their ignorance but are more than happy to let Rome burn to accrue any political benefit they may.

Not the system our fore fathers envisioned but one about which they warned us.

And, where are the adults in local media calling this guy to account? They are complicit in the degradation of our society – starting to think journalists are more of an issue than attorneys (sorry to my lawyer friends).

The barbarians invaded the Roman Empire get the goods while the gettin’ was good. The colonizers ran the Roman empire, the infrastructure, the supply lines, into the ground, so much so, that several generations later, most of the ruins were already covered by the sands of time, and the natives returned to living in one room huts made of sticks and straw with dirt floors. The former residents, the grandparents of the natives still alive, were living in apartment buildings (insula) up to seven stories tall but now but when the aqueducts failed, but their grandchildren were drinking dirty water… Read more »

So the problem was there were federal dollars for Ukrainian refugees but not for this recent influx of illegal immigrants. Who invited these illegal immigrants to the US? Once you can honestly answer that question then tell me what he’s done to pay for them. These are policies of the democrats, keep trying to spin your way out of it. Be careful what you say or the justice department might start looking into your past.

You jest but this is what they truly believe. Jussie Smollett blamed MAGA extremists for attacking him at 3:00 a.m. in 0 degree weather AND EVERY LEFTIST IN THE COUNTRY BELIEVED HIM. Not because they trusted Jussie per se, but because they’re all scared of the right-wing MAGA boogieman, and they believed in the boogieman threat. These people live in a completely different universe, they read different texts, they have a completely different mindset than you or I. We can laugh off their beliefs but they are deadly serious. I know people who will go to their grave believing that… Read more »

Here’s Kamala Harris in 2019: 4:43 p.m. ET, January 29, 2019 Kamala Harris on Smollett attack: “We must confront this hate”California Sen. Kamala Harris mirrored New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker’s description of the Jussie Smollett assault, calling it “an attempted modern day lynching.” See the tweet: .@JussieSmollett is one of the kindest, most gentle human beings I know. I’m praying for his quick recovery. This was an attempted modern day lynching. No one should have to fear for their life because of their sexuality or color of their skin. I’m really, really tired of this rhetoric from these people and hope others are too. Paul Vallas, while many may not have liked him, was a competent candidate for Chicago Mayor. This person is incompetent, at best.

I’m concerned about the rise of authoritarianism as nations find themselves course correcting from the absurdity. I see it happening in other countries. These Progressives have overused and bastardized the meaning to the point no one will know what it is as it’s happening.

I’m so disgusted. Something has got to give.

Paul was the least incompetent of the bunch. Everyone has amnesia when it comes to Vallas: he was Quinn’s running mate for the Lt. Gov. He’s a hardcore lifelong democrat. He’s been abandoned by the Democrat Party as they’ve moved left but he’s remained a dinosaur in the same place. I’m sure he’s a great guy. But he’s still your typical Democrat with hapless Democrat solutions to the very problems they cause. Of course, he would be better than Brandon the progressive but all Vallas could do it slow down the speed of descent.

They’re not ignoring it, the media doesn’t feel the need to report on, what they believe, to be completely obvious truths that everyone accepts. To the media, reporting that “Right-Wing extremists are causing problems in Chicago and MAGA wants black men back in chains” is no different than reporting that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, and Springfield is the capital of IL. It’s all perfectly obvious things to them and therefore, not news.

LOL, he’s running for higher office. That’s why he’s bashing the left’s favorite boogieman: the mythical right-wing extremists. Brandon is the most prominent male black Illinois politician right now (Kwame, like Blago, is stuck in Springfield). He’s a young guy who wants to go places. There’s A LOT of seats in IL opening up pretty soon. Jan Schkowsky is 79 freaking years old; Dick Durbin is also 79 years old; Chuy Garcia is collecting social security at 67; Quigley is 65; Danny Davis is 82! And bill Foster is 68. Even more so, he might have convinced himself that JB… Read more »

Brandon probably doesn’t even know any Republicans, he doesn’t work with any Republicans, they don’t show up for any of his social events, he doesn’t live near any Republicans, he probably hasn’t spoken to a Republican in years and years. But the left gets scared and soils its pants at the boogieman and he’s merely playing into his future base’s fears, as he runs for higher office.

This is exactly what they are doing. Politics is a big money business. There are people and organizations out there who spend all day, every day, and big $$$$ propping up their preferred candidates and charting their political course before they are even elected to their first office.

For a guy who was supposed to be a teacher, he must not have attended too many history classes. Brandon is a one trick pony. No matter what happens that has a negative outcome, it is always the result of racism. Chicago has an illegal immigrant problem, well that’s just racism. Chicago has a violence problem, you guessed it, that’s racism. Brandon has a bad credit score, that’s simply the racist credit bureaus doing racist things. Dude is pathetic.

Chicago Teachers Union contract demands are totally divorced from reality – Wirepoints

Details emerging about Chicago Teachers Union’s upcoming contract show just how divorced its demands, both extreme and expensive, are from the reality at Chicago schools. It’s not just about massive salary increases, but also about money for migrant students, climate initiatives, abortions and gender-affirming care. About blocking parental notification. Count on CTU’s demands to veer further from reality until the public finally says no.

Ted joined Dan and Amy to talk about a new law passed by the Democratic supermajority and signed by Gov. J.B. Chicago needs more champions of literacy like Willie Wilson – Wirepoints

It’s rare to see city leaders in Chicago take an open, unabashed stance on the collapse of literacy. To complain is deemed as too political, too racist or too anti-public schools. So it’s refreshing to see Willie Wilson, a successful businessman and leader of the black community, call for a literacy initiative “with the goal of getting 100% of Black students reading at grade level.”
