In his budget recommendations, Mayor Brandon Johnson backed a state-level “graduated income tax,” which is on the Nov. 5 ballot as an advisory question that would later need approval from state lawmakers and voters.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
