Chicago mayor says migrants not a priority over safety – Center Square

TCS ILLINOIS CHICAGO MAYOR BRANDON JOHNSON MIGRANT BUSSING 12-2023When asked why he chose to impose a hiring freeze instead of a freeze on migrant spending, Mayor Brandon Johnson said he is not prioritizing migrants over public safety. “We spend $2 billion on community safety just for policing alone, so it is a priority. It’s the top priority that I have as mayor of the city of Chicago,” Johnson said.

Like most liberals they often profess the opposit of the reality of a situation that they created. In the instant Johnson has devoted a lot of funding, a finite resource, on the migrants as he welcomes them into the city. Meanwhile he has cut police and other public safety intiatives and will continue to do so as the Shot Spotter situation unfolds. I might add though that Johnson ran on a ticket of defunding the police so perhaps it is to be expected as once again the residents of Chicago get what they voted for.

That some of the CTU who installed their shill into office are minimally smarter than the uneducated students they graduate is really not a surprise. About 30 seconds of hearing Gates address the media confirms that.
