Lightfoot has no plan. The only thing she knows to do is raise taxes – enormously. She knows that that will ignite a considerable amount of anger amongst us , which is why she is postponing making any substantive announcement for as long as she can.
I think she has a plan to cut the low hanging fruit. Police overtime, landscaping in the medians, new hires & replacements, etc. Higher property taxes on everyone is a necessary component. As is higher sales taxes.
I moved out of Chicago nearly a decade ago so I could care less about what progressives do in their own backyard. My issue is when the progressives try to force their degenerate beliefs upon my family.

If the voters are not angry now they will never be. Suddenly this time they’re all going to figure it out, and mobilize against these thieves?

I think that the churn of people moving through the area–2nd and 3rd generation Chicagoans moving out and being replaced with immigrants–is why there is no voter anger here.
They don’t know any better. Until their grandchildren figure it out, and they too, move. And the cycle repeats.
The Democrats have their progressive utopia. The abortion-mobile drives around and kills unborn children at will in the wombs of ‘individuals’ (Not women, as Rep Baby Killer stressed to ‘old white men’ in hearings, because, transgender men and non-binary individuals can get pregnant too), no doctor even needed!
