Lightpuss and Brown-eye may not have the solution to stop looting, but I do.

It seems like for decades, there was an implicit agreement that if the gangs confined their drug dealing activities to the south and west sides, and left Mich Ave alone, everything would be fine. Well, that agreement certainly has been breached now.

So I say, start coming down, and I mean HARD, on the south and west side drug dealers. Let them know this is retaliation for the looting.

You want to eff with our businesses, we’re gonna eff with yours.

I agree with this. I’ve lived in downtown Chicago for 8 years and it’s been peaceful. Out of town folks would ask me about the high crime rates and I would respond that 98% of that is confined to south and west sides (my estimate). It seems that compact has been violated meanwhile with the strict gun laws and FOIDs backlog you can’t even protect yourself. Lightfoot has lost the city. IMO, only the national guard could stabilize the region at this point. The looting will continue bc these miscreants know that Lightfoot doesn’t have a spine to bring tough… Read more »
