Chicago Police families and the mayor’s big speech – John Kass

“Manpower is disastrously low,” said another police spouse. “And calls of service are so high. But there’s no one to send. Last year, she pulled officers from districts to cover her house. Police families know this. We know the underbelly of the city, what’s out there. And there just isn’t support coming from City Hall.”

It’s all about Lori! She can’t not pick a fight. Criticize Eric Carter. Lori loves Eric, she’s completely bedazzled by his campaign ribbons. Shame on the media for reporting the pot of bad blood boiling over and showing Lori openly being given the finger. It’s disrespectful! Really?

Lightfoot should be compelled to release her 60 officer personal CPD squad. I/m appalled by her two-faced hypocritical SJW stance – the mayor is a disgrace.

If Lopez runs, he gets elected.

I am lucky to have become friends with a number of officers – it’s sad, there seems to be a ton of nepotism and through the system of “merit” the ability to reward folks for the opposite of merit has become the norm.

After three years, these guys and gals leave and can have a better professional life policing elsewhere…

Here? All downside.

These young inexperienced Officers are being fed to the lions…

It’s similar to sending *green* troops to the front lines without a steady & experienced Sgt. to guide them, teach them & to watch over them…

They are being led by incompetent bosses who are just looking to punch their ticket to the next promotion…

Ambition & incompetence are a toxic mix in any work environment, but in policing it’s deadly…

Hmmmmm…..Is someone behind the curtain directing Lori to turn Chicago into a continuous shtstorm? Does she have some promise? She’s a disaster and always stepping in it! We’ll they got rid of Cuomo, maybe Lori could be a pervert! Isn’t she a patron of the arts and on the board of the Admiral Theatre?

“Blame everyone else” is the motto of Chicago. Guns from Indiana. Bad seeds. Uncontrollable gangs. Fox x turns everything into a misdemeanor and somehow everyone is surprised that crime is rampant. Jails work to keep law abiding citizens safe and to support the police that protect us everyday. Lightfoot has high approval ratings because of CPS/CTU – nothing will change until that formula changes. The people of IL need to say enough or they will continue to not only see the state crumble but the people that live in it as well.

What’s that sating ‘People get the government they deserve’? Well, Chicago got what it wanted.

Yeah Lightfoot is a scumbag, but we must not lose sight of the fact that those gangbangers were something way beyond Lightfoot’s scum. They were inhuman selfish animals void of any worth. I would support an all out police strike right now, starting with Lightfarts block detail.

Lightfoot will ignore everything and instead try to reprimand the cop who’s spouse dared utter a non gender neutral term such as “manpower “.

I passed the METRA station in Orland Park today at 9:45AM, well past the weekday morning rush. There were less than 50 cars in a lot that holds a few hundred. Destination Chicago is hurting probably a lot more than anyone is admitting.

I too live near a Metra station it’s 20% full on any weekday. Few people want to return downtown. I myself used the *delta variant* last week as an excuse not to attend a meeting downtown. I would have gone in person if it had been in the suburbs, but now the delta variant is my BS excuse to avoid going downtown. I get the feeling many people feel the same way.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
