Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. The state’s existing buyout program for its own pensions is the precedent for Chicago, which should be a warning: Look out for similar exaggerated claims and shoddy analysis.

Preckwinkle, Foxx, Evans, Johnson, the far left great thinkers on the hapless city council will be collecting city pensions for their destructive disservice. Taxpayers are a big part of the problem too, voting over and over for this kind of far left insanity. If O’Neill wins today, more of the same? Yep.
This is not reality and so tone deaf – “We have to keep violent offenders off the street,”
And cue the obligatory, half- hearted lamentations from some, the complete silence from Foxx, Raoul, Tim Evans and others, all complicit in the atmosphere that allows a 26 year old man on the force for 2 years to lose his life. Beyond disgusting.
Talk about a boiler-plate statement. Sickening.
And nothing about the Officer or his family. Pox on him
