The local turf battle includes gang gunships cruising into near north on up. These are battle wagons manned by jack up teens. Feed’m full of coke and let fly. Anybody look cross eyed? Grease’m. Don’t come back unless you on the news.

JB has been silent on this tragedy. He really is a worthless piece of trash.

Should have had a mental health officer there to talk to the suspects first, ask them about their feelings, and problems.

This is just an observation. How many of these drive by shootings are done from cars with tinted windows. If an officer stops a car with tinted windows they can’t see if guns are pointed at them so they are probably on the defensive right away. I’m not saying to ban tinted windows but maybe tint them a little less especially the drivers side. Seems like these very dark tinted windows are not there to reduce glare or reduce sun damage but to be less visible of the occupants inside to cameras. Many of these vehicles are large SUV’s not… Read more »

I believe that tinted windows at the front passenger seat windows and front windshield are illegal in Illinois. In a sane world this would be enforced and all such cars impounded until the tint is removed. But not in Kim Foxx’s totalitarian criminal loving county.

Correct it is illegal in Illinois unless it is original factory tint.

But the only way to prove it illegal in Illinois is to use a tint meter to verify the percentage of tint on the window, otherwise CPD could not enforce it. As a middle manager in CPD, I begged the Chief of Patrol and the Superintendent’s office to purchase one tint meter for each district for use in enforcement, it would have cost the department around $2000, but once word got out that it could be enforced, the offenders would remove the tint for fear of getting a ticket and having their car hooked. This would be enhance officer safety.… Read more »

This is the fault of Lori, the black caucus, the progressive left defund the police movement and the blm terrorists who routinely call for the killing of police. It’s time to fight back hard for safety.

I fear it will be necessary to define what we mean by “fight back hard.” So much commentary on today’s issues is in the form of “we MUST do something” but, when it comes to concrete steps, people either have no clue or are afraid to say. That’s because effective steps are going to transgress some of our “rules.” Beating heads will transgress the philosophy of giving people “slack” if they are poor or fatherless or underfed or undereducated. And there will surely be collateral damage of innocents. We are stuck in the tar baby of our own talking points.… Read more »

We need to bring back stop and frisk. We need to start jailing anyone who commits a gun crime with 10 years minimum. We need to stop electing social justice warriors like Lori, Foxx and the entire black caucus who relate more to criminals than victims. We need to shoot to kill any carjacker, looter, and gun carrying scum. And there is nothing wrong with beating criminals. Our enabling has caused this crime as has blm. You will see a backlash now by the police. They are pissed and rightly so.

Now you are getting somewhere. Yes, we need to change the people in charge. BUT unfortunately they were “elected” by secret ballots, most of which were probably legal — at least we can’t prove they were illegal. Illinois reality has demonstrated how the branches of government (particularly the judges and the prosecutors) can be manipulated by manipulating the voters via mainstream media and overblown rhetoric. The current power structure is likely to punish the stopper-friskers and forceful police takedowns. (Which is why police are pissed. But alot of them have decided to quit because their battle is so uphill.) Alot… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
