Chicago Police Report 461 Shootings In July, A 15% Increase From Last Year – CBS2 (Chicago)

Police also touted an increase in recovered guns in the city; So far this year, CPD has recovered more than 7,289 guns, up 28% from last year, statistics said. Officers also made 3,477 gun arrests, a 23% increase from 2020.

There would be many more deaths from all these shootings if it weren’t for the first responders and trauma teams at the hospitals. They work in war zone type of setting and rarely get credit for the work they do. How must they feel after seeing carnage day after day? Yet little if any PR or acknowledgement are given that I am aware of. Who is looking out for their well being?

Black Chicago is doing their best to keep them employed fixing GSW. I think the chances of being shot to death visiting Chicago are much higher than catching COVID.
