Chicago schools training says sex ‘not rooted in biology,’ tells teachers to hide gender pronouns from parents – FOX News

"Discussing a student’s transition with their parent or guardian without the student’s explicit consent is not permitted," reads one of the slides. "Disclosure of this kind can create an unsafe situation for the student. This is both a legal and safety concern, and there is no age restriction on this guidance." The notes add that "[p]arental consent is not required for a student name, gender marker, or pronoun change."

CPS: Let’s ignore the science of genetics, teach the voodoo of SJW wokeism.

“The notes claim that ‘the concepts of Gender and Sex are actually not rooted in biology.

Instead, they are socially constructed, which means they have been created and enforced by people in a society.’”

False.

Sex is determined by biology.

A male has a weenie.

A female has a vagina.

CPS is attempting to redefine biological sex in humans, causing sex confusion and thereby damaging the mental health of students and parents.

CPS is an out of control leftist organization.

I think one of the most overlooked causes of gender recognition/identity may be EDC’s (Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals) one of which are flame retardants in clothing and mostly in furniture. You wonder why there are so many labels people are trying to identify with. These links may be a good reason. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1281309/ https://ehp.niehs.nih.gov/doi/10.1289/ehp.114-a112b Hormones in humans have been altered by these chemicals. Kids don’t know what group they belong to due to altered estrogen or testosterone levels. Some have too much of one and too little of the other-some have little of each. These flame retardants are in sofas/mattresses some say… Read more »

It was California that pushed the flame retardants into every product too – for our own safety. Go figure.

You’re right about that.

There have also been studies about the effects of cheap foods, hormonal injections into animal products, etc. that are affecting testosterone levels in boys/men. People eat like crap in this country. I try to make as much food from scratch as I can and buy organic when I can. I just wish organic was not so expensive- we can only afford certain products.

The world has flipped, when teachers are reprobates. It’s not exclusive to teachers, nearly all politicians and office holders are in the same category.

When did these despicable creatures determine they were better able to raise children than the parents? And, let’s not kid ourselves – taxes paid by residents fund the schools – the parents fund the existence of the unelected bureaucracy that is public education. Period. Parents are the bosses. Time to exert control over these simple minded folks. That frustration aside, it is sad that the same creatures charged with the education of children fail the very basic litmus test of common sense… In what world, TEACHERS, do you think these conversations should take place BEHIND parent’s backs? This needs to… Read more »

Agree 100%. But, just so you know, teachers are being told that they can (and will) be disciplined if they violate this directive. I’ve had several discussions with teachers who also agree this is nuts, about how to have creative conersations with parents without getting into hot water. We can’t push back if we’re suspended or terminated. You want me on that wall. You need me on that wall…

We certainly do need teachers on that wall against all the craziness. Will more teachers please stop voting for the politicians and union leaders that are the perpetrators? It all started in the halls of academia. The support of teachers will be needed to end it. Stop supporting Dems and your union leaders like Sharkey and Gates.

I do not support a single one of them and never have. Been voting conservative since I was 18. The sad thing is, many of my colleagues talk like conservatives in the faculty lounge, but don’t back it up with action and votes. They walk the picket line when called upon and stay silent when the idiocy is obvious. It’s tough to convince people to do the right thing when their livelihoods are on the line.

When I first started at CPS 25 years ago, our goal (at least at my school) was to engage the parents as much as possible because we (tchrs and parents) were supposed to be partners in a child’s development. Now, parents are 99% of the time to be viewed as ‘the enemy’, under the belief that only the edutocracy knows what’s best for the child. It’s never said in so many words, but the implied message in every training/staff meeting/etc. is unmistakable. And teachers who are parents follow in lock-step! Of course, almost none of them send their kids to… Read more »

It’s how you know you’re in the presence of communists. Children don’t belong to their parents, they belong to the state.

And they sure as sh!t don’t care about either the parents or the children. Just power.

You betcha. I’ve known that for a long time. I’m a grandchild of Polish WWII resistance fighters. I was raised well and can spot a commie at 50 paces with one eye closed. Wolverines!

At +$28,000 spent per student, most cps students are functionally illiterate but thank goodness not being gender identity pronoun discriminated against (or is he/she?)….great to see cps has got its priorities in order…I’m sure those gender identity pronoun discriminated lessons will serve him/her well in a carrier flip-pen burgers at MDs or carjack-en in the hood

Wrong. Sex is down to our very bones. Male and female.

The word ‘gender’ should be discarded as a means of describing anything having to do with biological sex.

Gender is just the costume one wears to signal biological sex to others. Like the male cardinal is bright red. All of gender theory can be reduced to playing dress-up with clothing usually worn by the opposite sex. At worst, gender theory requires forcing otherwise unwilling participants to engage in the cross-dresser’s fantasies. Since these cross-dressers have not asked my consent to engage in their sick fantasies, I tell them No, you do not have my consent to engage in your fantasy that you are of the other sex.

Gender is a word they want you to use for this very reason. It’s malleable. Don’t use it. Use sex instead.

That’s a good point. I will use sex from now on, not gender.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
