Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. The state’s existing buyout program for its own pensions is the precedent for Chicago, which should be a warning: Look out for similar exaggerated claims and shoddy analysis.
Illinois lost another 54,000 tax filers and dependents, net, according to the IRS. Since 2000, fleeing taxpayers have taken $94 billion of annual adjusted gross income with them.

Teaching math science and reading didn’t work. Look at the test scores. They’re hoping instead to create a generation of miseducated social justice warriors who can’t read, write or do math, but at least they can tear down statutes, call everyone racist and demand money.
Yeah, look at the test scores when there are test scores to look at. As you know, some schools are de-emphasizing tests or getting rid of some of them. After all, if a sector of society doesn’t do well on tests, that must mean the tests are biased against that sector.
Also, if test scores are in a decline, don’t worry. The educators will dumb down the tests to improve test scores. There, the problem is solved.
Will this cover reverse discrimination? You know, those not so rare occasions that “minorities” hate and attack other tribes?
This is not teaching it is indoctrination for a Communist state.
How about focusing on reading, writing, math and the 10 Commandments!
