Members who are full-time employees of Chicago Public Schools pay over $1,400 in dues, but less than $149 of that was devoted to representing Chicago teachers. The rest was spent on administration, politics and other union leadership priorities.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
