A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
And what does that do for any restaurant owner or employee who has suffered thru 12 months of the lockdown nonsense? Almost nothing. How about some outrage from owners and workers? In the restaurant business you are a hero if you can make an 18% profit margin on your sales . Opening at 25% capacity does nothing for you. And how many waitresses, cooks, bartenders, busboys do you need at 25% capacity?
