Chicago transit leaders prepping budget cuts – Axios

RTA budget officials say a fare increase is an option to generate about $50 million in new revenue. A potential fare increase could go up to 10 percent and would take effect after Jan. 1 if the RTA approves it.

Better late than never. These same ‘transit leaders’ have created this mess through egregious mismanagement.

Ridership has cratered. It is long past time for serious budget cuts.
