Chicago violent crime trends up as arrests trend down – Illinois Policy

Arrests were made in about 1-in-7 violent crimes. The arrest rate has been trending down for 20 years.

Who would have thought a failure to arrest and prosecute individuals committing violent crimes would lead to an increase in these very same crimes? Liberal politicians I guess.

Look at the stat for solved murders and you’ll see where Chicago’s priorities are.
