A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
The good news is Chicago continues to lose more and more of the problem population each year, many to other states, opening up previously uninhabitable land for future growth and resettlement. Natural selection, time and cold weather will eventually fix what our moronic government refuses to.

28% voter turnout in the last election. People either are indifferent to what is going on or are in agreement with how this city deals with crime. Personally, I just go my last kid out of that city and am not planning on visiting there anytime soon.

It would be much easier to just lock up criminals and throw away the key, which prevents them from committing any crime in the future while they are locked up. The problem though with mass incarceration is that is tends to lock up too many innocent people or guilty people for too long, and it loses proportionality.

This is awful, yet I don’t have sympathy. At some point in the past, I would have felt great sympathy, but by now it’s common knowledge that Chicago is dangerous. This couple ignored the increasing risks and paid a great price. They probably paid taxes to the city/state government that refused to enforce laws and protect them, so in a way, they supported what happened. Maybe now they will decide to get out of Chicago and find a safer place to start a family. If not, no sympathy if it happens again.
The market value of every condo and apartment in that area needs a downward adjustment of at least 50% – call it the sh*thole adjustment. Who would want to live in constant fear every time they walk out on the street, knowing all the politicians in the city align with and support the “yutes”?

You can’t blame the victim here, they did nothing wrong. In the abstract, they probably voted Democrat, yes, but that baby in her womb, she was 41 years old, she’s probably never going to get pregnant again, and this couple will forever remain childless.
Wish the victim would have been carrying a .357 Magnum, the city would be be a better place without the two “teenage thugs” Two body bags in the morgue and stack them up next to the other garbage. Brandon won’t be pleased to see this richly deserved media coverage of the zoo he oversees. And Governor Carnival Barker will be angered by the fact that this got international coverage. He may just spit out his triple Whopper. These two ignoramuses should be booted out of office and have charges brought against them for dereliction of duty and creating a dangerous environment. Taxes aren’t used only to line pockets, they’re supposed to provide protection for residents. These two believe in defunding police and have hamstrung law enforcement through their ridiculous policies. This attack is a direct result.
What is the race of the victims? Is this another Asian hate attack. Agree, but unfortunately, if that scenario played out where the Citizen pulled his gun and shot these animals, the back-seat judgements would then proceed, determining whether the Citizen was just in shooting or killing the animals. Reading the article she said she was two weeks pregnant and lost the baby. That seems like murder to me. If you accidentally hit a pregnant mother with your car and kill them you will be charged with two counts of homicide depending on the circumstances even if she was on her way to an abortion clinic. What will happen to these kids? Nothing!
