Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Who are the 9% who feel the city is headed in the right direction? Those poor people are delusional and need to have their meds adjusted.
Actual Biden voters. 9%
Implement a vax mandate for public school attendance and you’ll see many more enrolling in parochial school. Parochial schools are poised to make a killing in the marketplace. Go ahead, push the vax mandate button CPS. We need you to open up the education market to some other choice besides your crappy product. You are paid in advance via property taxes, you got your money, so there is no incentive for you to get better, ever, year after year, outcomes prove it. You can’t compete, and you know it CPS. Ask yourself this CPS… “Why do so many of our… Read more »
That might be their plan. Flooding the private schools will lower costs for the public schools that will in turn leave more money for salaries.
Not as long as Cupich in charge. He will just implement the mandate too so the democrat politicians don’t get mad at him.
Soupy will also increase tuition. His coffers must be taking a beating.
I forgot about that schmuck.
The reality is the perception among criminals is that Foxx is a pushover. Her polices, no matter how well-intentioned, have emboldened the criminal element. She can make all the claims she wants about how tough she is on “real” crime, but that doesn’t help the average person being pulled from their vehicle with a gun pointed at them.
Reminds me of the Congress survey: Congress sucks by MY Congressperson is good.
“Somewhat more surprising was a drop for Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, from 50% positive last summer to 31% now.”
What moron looks at disastrous polling such as this and decides that its a good time to ban most minorities and nearly all conservatives from ordering food?
Toni, that’s who. You reading this Toni?
How many of those sour faced Chicagoans will automatically pull the “D” lever in the polling place come election time? Sour mood means nothing to the sour faced democraps.
Using past results as a guide, nearly 75% of Cook County gladly pull that D lever again. Because Republicans are authoritarian fascist racists or something. You can’t order food without showing papers in our biomedical security state and crime is rampant but Republican are racists or something. The ignorance is astounding.
O’Brien beat Foxx in suburban Cook. Foxx underperformed Biden by nearly 20 points in suburban Cook. So there is precedent that people can be persuaded to not blindly choose D’s down the ballot. Now for Chicago…
Vote for blue no matter who. One might think that there would be a better selection made in the Democrat primarys though
