Chicago’s top doctor ‘hopeful’ COVID-19 vaccine mandate for restaurants and public venues will end by spring – Chicago Tribune*

Dr. Allison Arwady said those decisions will be based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s four levels of community transmission: low, moderate, substantial and high. Chicago is currently at a “high” level of spread, with an average 104 daily cases per 100,000 residents and a 11.9% test positivity rate. When the city gets to a “moderate, low risk” level, Arwady said, the vaccination requirement will be lifted.

There won’t be any eateries left if you wait until Spring. So long!!!! Chicago and Cook county not worth it.

I have not steeped foot into a chicago or cook county restaurant since this silliness began!
Go to Lake county instead! Chicago restaurant owners have you had enough from your so called leaders yet?

They’re arresting black women and children in NYC for not showing vaccine cards after entering the natural history museum.

If this bad coverage and press doesn’t end the indoor vaccine mandates, nothing will.

Calling this a Dr. is akin to calling a blood-letter with a pointy tip mask in the medieval period a surgeon.

As an expert one might think she would consider her BMI index before dictating stuff to others.

I will keep writing this until we are all blue in the face.
From the UK:

“COVID is ‘crashing’ as Omicron increasingly acts as a natural vaccine: Mild or no coronavirus symptoms yet all the antibodies”.
Colleagues – the plandemic is OVER. Izeke has not been duly elected by us so why the FFS are we listening to her? She has no authority but to recommend.

As for Freddie Pritzker – we have to get him out in November. We just have too. This will never end otherwise.

I read that in the UK the virus mandates are over meaning that we are to believe that this so called humanity killing virus was made innefective overnight? Well maybe it was just another flu variant hyped up for election purposes.

By Spring? Good luck to the restaurant owners living on the edge of bankruptcy. There’s no more Covid money coming from President Mumbles. These Illinois control freaks just don’t care. Meanwhile, the rest of the country moves on.

Maybe it’s their plan for small mom & pop restaurants and bars to go out of business so they can buy the real estate for pennies on the dollar. Do you think the national chains are hurting with their Chicago presence when their losses are offset by their booming restaurant presence in locales without restrictions? You might be saying goodbye to your local taco shop place and hello to Chipotle.

To put it simply, if you have been living vaccine-free, your time is up. If you wish to live life as w/the ease to do the things you love, you must be vax’d.This health order may pose an inconvenience to the unvaccinated, and in fact it is inconvenient by design.— Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot (@chicagosmayor) December 21, 2021 Destruction and punishment is the point. Lori looks upon the devastation she alone has caused through her policies – thousand dead of covid, thousand more murdered, tens of thousand shot in the streets, crime spiraling out off control, closed businesses and dreams… Read more »

Lori is so universally hated, she rightfully believes she’ll be blamed for all Chicago Covid deaths so she doubles down. Lori has principles and stands by her decisions. Shrugging your shoulders to the mob is a poor defense.

That is a theory I’ve heard a lot — that this further funnels power into the larger corporations that are more easily controlled by the web of governments, bureaucrats, NGOs, etc.

I have a lot of sympathy for small businesses right now. That said, I’m not visiting a single one that is upholding these mandates.

These F morons have no idea what the F they are doing. Dr Izeke said the other day, I heard she say it on TV, that they don’t want to focus on cases, but instead, on hospitalizations, because cases don’t mean anything. Yet today, the mask mandates and the indoor vaccination mandates are all based on cases – whether transmission is high or low. So which is it you bumbling fools? Is it cases, or not cases? They just know it’s all just theatre, they’re just acting in this big play, doing some rain dance around a fire, calling out… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
