He wants more money because of the number of lawsuits he is filing against the Trump administration. If he loses these lawsuits, as he probably will, how does IL recoup the money he spent?
It’s the unconstitutional laws as well, most if not all the firearm cases will eventually be lost when they hit the supreme court. SCOTUS ruled you can’t ban commonly owned firearms, there are MILLIONS in Illinois alone, with only few fools registering them, Illinois will lose.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
