City considers Brighton Park vacant lot as a possible site for migrant tent encampment – Chicago Tribune/MSN

Venezuelan migrants sheltering outside the 11th District Chicago police station in Chicago set up tents that were donated to them on Oct. 11, 2023. Roughly two dozen tents were given out.“This is all very preliminary,” Ald. Julia Ramirez said Saturday when asked about the site at 38th Street and California Avenue. “They’re assessing the lot to prepare for winterized tents.” The city has provided no details on where the camps would be located.
