Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts called in to Wednesday’s City Council meeting to urge aldermen to back the sports betting ordinance. “These are not mini-casinos in any way. They will not have slot machines, card games, roulette wheels, or table games. The sportsbooks will, however, have a large and positive impact on the city. This ordinance will create jobs today."
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
Lol, this will create jobs. Yea, jobs for your accountants! The team boys are happy with a cut. Foot in the door for expansion.
