City Council Rejects Push to Roll Back $35 Tickets for Drivers Snapped 6 MPH Over the Limit – WTTW (Chicago)

Mayor Lori Lightfoot has said the city needs the $40 million to $45 million generated by the park and school speed cameras to fund vital programs, including the Chicago Police Department and afterschool programs for children and teens, while at the same time giving lead-footed drivers a financial incentive to slow down.

Financial hardship for black families means nothing — so long as Larry Lightfoot can steal millions from drivers — with crooked, corrupt, predatory, regressive, revenue robbery ripoff racket cameras — CAMERA THAT DO NOTHING FOR SAFETY AT ALL.
