Mayor Brandon Johnson’s 2024 budget proposal includes $1.48 billion for the Department of Transportation, which is more than double the 2023 budget. This includes a $15 million federal grant to install electric vehicle infrastructure and purchase electric vehicles.

With all the carjacking and auto theft going on in Chicago pretty soon everyone will be on bikes.
