Illinois is the second-most popular state to leave based on a survey of movers by United Van Lines. Illinois has also experienced nine straight years of population loss

Talk about being born with a silver spoon in your mouth. He has never had to take risk to earn a living.

He sees himself as a petty warlord. In any other era, back in the old world, he’d be the degenerate heir to a minor duchy, and he’d run it like a tyrant, brutally and without any checks on his power. Back then might made right and he’d pay off the knights of his kingdom to keep the peasants in line. In all likelihood, he’d be using his army to invade the surrounding areas with his private army, annexing Lake County, IN, Racine, Kenosha, St. Louis and Dubuque into the Illinois political sphere. But we live in the modern age, and… Read more »

The man is the epitome of over consumption, and he tells everyone else to consume less. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Davos, ask him about the IL political scorecard (hint-flashing RED). IL political score card: -#1-2 in tax burden of all US states (top prop tax) -#1-3 rating for political corruption of all US states -#51 in fiscal condition, behind Puerto Rico….. Plus, large companies, and people, exiting IL; most, especially poor kids, cannot read or do math at grade level; rampant crime (catch and release; and…”do not catch”, cause not enough police who are supported adequately (by politicians or the courts and IL state law); est $0.5T unfunded IL/Chicago public pensions/medical (which has to be paid via property tax liens… Read more »

Al Gore and John Kerry hate the American people. They were both soundly rejected for higher office. Arbuckle was invited to represent the fat people of the world.

I saw that video from Hunter’s laptop where he was supposed to pay with some nasty strumpet $5,000 for eight hours but then he spent 16 hours with her instead and had to pay her $10,000 but he only had half money; so he had his dad ‘unwittingly’ wire him the balance 90 minutes later.

He is such a smug douchebag. Never earned anything in his life. Only thing he has struggled with is his weight.

It is good to hear all the great news, Governor. Everything is just fine and dandy in Illinois. Businesses are clamoring to come here. Crime is way down. We have a surplus budget. The education system just needs a little fine tuning. The SAFE-T Act is going to help crime victims. No problems whatsoever.

The twitter audience eats this stuff up. That’s why he does it. He knows he’ll probably win (steal) the presidency if he can make it through the primaries. The progressive base – which he views through the lens of twitter – is what drives votes in the early primaries and he’s hoping to appeal to.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
