Columbus statues should not return in Chicago, Lightfoot’s monument commission recommends – FOX32 (Chicago)

Columbus statues should not return in Chicago, Lightfoot's monument commission recommends The report urges the city not to return the Columbus statues in Grant and Arrigo parks because "the image of Columbus has become a bitter reminder of centuries of exploitation, conquest and genocide." The report further recommends removal of seven other statues, and names three more in needs of added context to "acknowledge the challenging legacies of their subjects."

Lightfoot shouldn’t accept the recommendations of the commission.  She hinted that she wouldn’t, but will she come through?

My impression is most of the Chicago troublemakers would vote for Lightfoot.  This history correction contingent hates this country, considers themselves revolutionaries, and they refer to each other as comrades.  They have no interest in what their community or any community is like.  They view themselves as citizens of the world.  They have to be recognized as the type of troublemaker that they are.

The last thing I would do is replace anything with different sculptures or monuments.

Lori is looking for any opportunity exhibit her racist tendencies. I don’t think it’s a big deal. If she’s got an objective smoldering in her head it’s a non issue. She’s never accomplished anything. It’s a dog whistle. When she’s handed her hat she’ll blame Ken or Trump.

She’s going to be replaced with someone even more progressive. Her biggest critics are the progressive who say she hasn’t been progressive enough.

Again, don’t underestimate the stupidity of the voter. Who would have thought kim Foxx would be reelected?

Kim Foxx’s vote totals and margin in BIPOC communities, as I’ve shown before, would make even Putin blush. She wins 80% to 90% of the vote in black and brown communities. Her soft on crime policies are wildly popular in high crime and other BIPOC communities.

Simply put, she’s stopped the criminal justice system from hassling her core constituency – BIPOCs and wokesters. And there are more BIPOC and wokesters in Cook County outnumber everyone else, so they win. This is wildly popular in BIPOC and wokester communities. Common sense says it wouldn’t be, but it is.

I believe that self-interest explains why her soft on crime policies are so popular in BIPOC communities. Residents of high crime communities are voting to go about their business without interference from the criminal justice system. Kim Foxx has given that to them. These communities have embraced this freedom even if means much higher crime, death and destruction. Individuals tell themselves, “Hey, if I get caught for some crime or ticket, I want my charges dismissed, and that’s more important to me than prosecuting the shooter in a drive by shooting who just shot 4 people one block over”. And… Read more »

Lori bought at least 5,000 votes with her $500 a month free income lottery.

Don’t forget the city of Pontiac which incorporates the dreaded N word.

Hmm, there’s a Beaubien street in Detroit, a Marquette in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and an entire General Motors car division named after that dead white guy Antoine Cadillac.

Let’s get rid of all Cadillac dealerships in Chicago.

Jean Baptiste Beaubien plaque, at the Chicago Cultural Center, which honors the “second” citizens of the city, neglecting Native Americans who were already there.

This is nothing more, and nothing less, than anti-white racism. They hate you, they hate your history, they want to erase you. They’ll keep your buildings, thank you very much, but they want to erase the memory of the existence of the heroes and dignitaries of the people who labored their sweat and blood to build your city. Before long, Chicago will be called Nuevo Oaxaca as millions of new residents from south of the border flood in.

Native Americans are merely the vessel by which non-Native Americans can express their anti-American views.

Lori has nothing to do because she can’t get anything done! She stirs up shit at every opportunity. Next a Caucasian tax to fund Azkaban.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
