I used to be a member and frequent visitor, but after they fired the super friendly super nice docents because they were white I have refused to visit and hope their donations drop to zero.

Back-pedal in overdrive. Board belatedly realized that all those white-haired white-privileged little people are quietly staying home, not renewing their memberships, silently defunding museum. Whoops! Bad call on part of virtue-signaling socialites on Art Institute’s board who green-lighted this stupid administrative decision – time to fire its president for near-sighted SJW cow-tow.

We also didn’t renew our membership this year, for this specific reason, our silent protest.

What a crock from the Board and management of what used to be a great world class institution. The Art Institute will never be the same and its reputation world wide has been damaged immeasurably. A friend from Switzerland asked me who gave control of the Institute to a bunch of uneducated petty socialites. You fired the knowledgeable elderly good hearted people who loved art and wanted to share their passion– for no pay or material reward. Instead you groveled to the BLM, Wokester, no-class crowd.
