Column: Do anti-Madigan Dems have stomach, means for a fight? – Champaign News-Gazette

Jim Dey: "Madigan rules through the use of a carrot and stick. Cooperate with him, and he’ll take care of you. Don’t cooperate with him and — well, he’ll take care of you. He needs 60 votes to be re-elected speaker in January, and has 72 House Democrats."

IL Democrats will once again reelect the FBI’s favorite IL politician as Speaker of the House. Hopefully when Madigan is finally criminally charged the FBI will dramatically remove him from his dais in the IL Capital House chamber. Walk up to the desk and remove Madigan in shackles during an IL house session and march him out of the chamber. Sort of like the Blago arrest but with a bit more panache.
