Column: Pritzker sure to sign bill hated by law enforcement – Champaign News-Gazette*

Jim Dey: "One hundred of Illinois’ 102 county state’s attorneys oppose the legislation...Few of those provisions have been the subject of substantive public discussion, not even in the legislature. Instead, the debate has devolved into a shouting match between woke social-justice advocates and those who argue the legislation is anti-police and anti-public safety."

Lard A** only does what HE wants to do. He does not do what the Illinois citizens need.

If he signs it, homeowners in the nicer parts of the city, those areas now experiencing a major uptick in crime, better be prepared for a 50% haircut on the value of their property. Who is going to want to purchase in an area where you can never relax, and have to always be on guard? If signed, the same offender may be able to visit them again and again.

Remember it will also affect the suburbs who’s police forces are much smaller and don’t have the resources like Chicago. All this scum will, make it’s way out to the burbs unfortunately.

We are all heavily armed where I live. I could gather a small mercenary force – just on my block – on a moment’s notice to enforce check points. Sure they might be boomers but they got good aim and lots of ammo. Hopefully we never get to that point. If I ever have to defend my property from roving bands of criminals that will be the last day I live in my house. I’ll move the next day and put my house up for sale immediately.

Yes we have the right to bear arms but remember laws on the books today don’t apply to you and me they are to protect the criminals. Are next house after we defend are properties and families lives will have steel bars, a cot, toilet depending if Pritzker was there and 3 squares a day and a boyfriend. Like you said hope it never ever comes to this my friend.

But Pritzker claims he has to review the bill in full and after reading it he will make his decision, bullshit, it’s sitting in a corner and collecting dust he will make a grand public statement on tv saying after strong consideration I have signed this bill into law for the good of all. Pritzker, the backlash is going to be so strong your head is going to spin, realize what your signing mister, a death sentence to all in Illinois.

Pritzker like Lori and the black caucus and Kim Foxx knows that pandering to the permanent victim class of feral predators and criminals is a success to re-election. By allowing them to kill, loot, carjack and commit crimes with no bail while blaming the police and this bs racial disparity will insure his re-election. That’s what this is all about.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
