Jim Dey: "A definite downside to the report was a continued lag in sales-tax and corporate income-tax revenues. July corporate income-tax revenues added up to $242 million. That’s an $81 million decline from July 2023. July sales-tax revenues were $942 million, down $45 million from July 2023. That continues a disturbing revenue trend."

Only in IL can two gas tax increases ( amongst others) since January result in a decrease in sales tax revenue.
