Commentary: Democrats can’t fight for democracy in Texas while undermining it in Illinois – Chicago Tribune*

Rhonda Belford, Illinois Republican national committeewoman and president of the Republican County Chairmen’s Association of Illinois: "Let that sink in: The same man who signed, supported and pushed one of the worst partisan gerrymanders in the nation is now upset that other states are following his lead. Instead of looking in the mirror or pushing for national changes, (Gov. JB) Pritzker responds by threatening additional partisan moves that will continue to divide our state."

What a silly headline. Democrats AKA Communists aren’t fighting for Democracy. They are fighting for complete totalitarian power and control. Whenever these tyrant Democrat’s AKA Communists say “Our Democracy” they are actually saying something truthful . “Our Democracy” means a jackboot on the neck of anyone who opposes these vermin. Democrat’s AKA Communists actually hate Democracy. “Democracy’ is an inaccurately used term for them. Kind of like Kim Jung Il’s Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea. There is nothing Democratic or Republican about it nor about the Democrat party. That’s the fact and their mask is finally falling off..

Ms. Belford seems to think that Pritzger is a rational, thinking person with the best intentions for IL residents at heart instead of the left wing, power hungry trust fund baby with presidential aspirations that he truly is.

No one holds JB accountable. Not voters, not legislature, not the federal government. Limitless terms in office. What a gig he has.

What irritates me not one Republican in this state or anybody for that matter doesn’t challenge this corrupt dictator

You can thank Dan Profit and his record of impressive losses for that. He injects himself into the middle of everything! After he destroys cohesion and optimism, he complains about broad party failures he cultivated. His radio show opening jingle is the background music of the Illinois Republican party.

To all the down voters: Proft bet the farm on Bailey, the reckless gun shooting lunatic and no compromise pro lifer. Everyone knew this guy was a flawed candidate. Pritzker even doubled down and financed Bailey to increase his odds of winning! As usual, Proft blamed his failures on north shore Republicans, New Trier GOP, and Lake County.

He was challenged in the last election and the voters said no thank you to Bailey. It sounds like Ted may challenge him in the next election. The voters will once again have a choice. They are the ones deciding and holding elected officials accountable. Just because they don’t vote your way doesn’t mean they didn’t hold him accountable. The voters must have liked what he did in his first term.

How when he’s bought off the Illinois Supreme Court with millions of dollars in campaign money and the judicial review board ignores all the violations which would remove their law licenses completely.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
