Writes Chair Penny Pritzker, "The Fund, which was established by the United Way of Illinois and the Alliance of Illinois Community Foundations in collaboration with the Office of the Governor, has raised more than $30 million since its launch to assist families across Illinois with their most basic of needs -- food, shelter, health care, utilities, and more. To date, we disbursed grants totaling $16.7 million to nearly 800 nonprofits across Illinois."
