I personally hate making things about race. I see everyone as equal, I try to be as color blind as possible at every level in my life. I treat everyone in person as if I were talking to them over the phone – a human on the other side of the phone that deserves respect – and you can’t see color through the phone. I know this is old school, but to me, it’s the only logical and rational way to see the world. But our enemies don’t see it this way. Everything is about race. To understand where we… Read more »

Crime reports say it all, blacks and Hispanics are responsible for nearly all violent crime in places like Chicago, Rockford, East St Louis, all major urban areas yet White gun owners are the problem.

Kim Foxx straight up said her goal as prosecutor is to put fewer black people in jail. But she couches it terms of ‘equity’ and ‘systemic racism’ which is like a huge marijuana bong behind the counter with a sticker that says “for tobacco use only”. Everyone knows that’s a lie, she just wants to give her voters – black people and progressives – get out of jail free cards. I often what she says to her voters at rallies or behind closed doors. Does she just straight up admit that she is giving black people get out of jail… Read more »

1151 murders reported in Illinois 2021, over 800 were in Chicago and 95% of those were committed by blacks or hispanics. Address the problem by prosecuting violent criminals, don’t turn innocent firearm owners into criminals and then brag about fighting crime. Democrats are idiots

All true … but don’t expect change anytime soon. Overnight gun owners will become felons and the felons will laugh their butts off as law-abiding citizens are targeted while they blissfully do what they do: break the law with nary a thought about being caught and imprisoned.

“law-abiding citizens”

They all believe that law abiding gun owning citizens who get attacked by illegal gun carrying criminals are ‘getting what they deserved’ for supporting gun rights in the first place.

They’re just getting a taste of their own medicine they’ll laugh as Kim Foxx declines to press charges.

And god forbid you use your illegal gun to defend yourself from the criminal with the illegal gun.

Guess which person Kim Foxx will choose to prosecute? It won’t be the criminal!

The only way to get away from the Chitty of Chicago violent crime is buy a tank of gas and get out of Dodge. Violent crime is only going to get worse, much worse.
More cops will retire to Punta Gorda, Fl and not look back. Chicago use to be one the best Cities, now not so good. Many people just avoid the Chitty of Chicago to stay safe.

And … law-abiding citizens follow the law; criminals don’t.

Any new gun legislation will only pave the way for MORE gun legislation and control.

Some may see that as a positive result – think again.

Stupid chickens.

“Equity for the accused is important, and justice for the victims too.”

Two observations: ‘equity’ instead of justice? Equity = equal outcomes – how does that relate to criminal prosecutions?

And we tend to put the most important thought first. In this statement ‘justice for the victims ..’ is an afterthought.

Illinois puts criminals’ rights ahead of victims’ rights. What a sham!

Stupid chickens keep these clowns in office.

Yes, I agree “justice for the accused” makes sense. I don’t know what “equity for the accused” means. Maybe it means the criminal justice system should always strive for an equal percentage of accused found guilty for every sector of society, aka a quota system. Of course, that’s not a good idea. Maybe it means those of little means should have the same chance as the affluent to hire a flamboyant, unscrupulous, well-connected lawyer to get them off the hook.

Democrats want to promote crime as social justice reparations — BLM even said that rioting, looting and arson are all forms of racial justice:

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
