State Rep. Andrew Chesney: "According to the WSJ, Illinois’ median age has increased from 36.6 to 38.8, making it one of the fastest aging states. Even states with a higher median age, like Florida, gained young people, while Illinois saw a decline in those aged 25-39. Some go to college and don’t come back — we call this 'brain drain.' Others left because of high taxes. According to Wirepoints, each Illinois household is on the hook for $110,000 in public employee retirement debt, up from $90,000 in 2019."
Asking for a friend: What trend in Illinois, particularly with Pritzker, is considered a positive for your average taxpaying family?
Illinois has been in decline for some time, and the people in power do not care – they are getting theirs.

Work at home options have increased young folks’ awareness of better lifestyles in other places. I know dozens of young people who have worked for a while in a different city, or state, or climate who have seen the advantages in other places and won’t come back to Chicago. The common theme is that in other places you simply don’t have to put up with the crime and taxes and other disadvantages to have a great lifestyle. And they say they don’t miss Chicago– they miss what it used to be.

Family values? Pritzker appears determined to establish Illinois as THE abortion tourism destination. Perhaps they can conjure up some catchy phrase for IL license plates.
Apparently that’s JB’s idea of a positive family-oriented and life-affirming feature for a state.
How low will Illinois go?

What kind of family values are there when there are so many single parent families with no father or children being raised by grandmothers? And teenage pregnancies being praised?
Gambling will continue to be expanded and who knows what drugs will be legalized next, in an effort to keep those sin taxes pouring in. Next JB will legalize prostitution and set up abortion clinics next door to the brothels.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.

It takes a community to raise a village! That community being government welfare. You pay to raise the families of baby mommas and baby daddies!
Family values? This state is practically sodom and gohmorrah with the government celebrating and encouraging every sin and vice.
