Hidden in Bloomberg is some earthshaking news for states, cities, and schools. The CIO of CalPERS who is a Chinese finance expert is planning to go all in with private equity and some other alternative investing because he knows stocks and bonds won’t cut it when CalPERS needs 7% gains. Or to put it simply, there’s no easy solutions for broke states and cities.
