Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle acknowledges troubled tech overhaul – Chicago Tribune/Yahoo

“This company is a virtual monopoly, and it’s very difficult when you’re dealing with a monopoly sometimes to try to get the service that you need and require. We’ve been pushing them all the way along to provide better service. That’s been a challenge,” Preckwinkle said. The combined initial $75 million price tag for the three contracts - with the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court, the Illinois Supreme Court, and Cook County - has climbed to more than $185 million.

Preckwinkle is the boss of county. The responsibility for the county tech mess is hers and hers alone. She always appears to play the blame game and finds someone else to blame. Look in the mirror Toni!
