Diana McCluskey, the chief school business official at Palatine School District 15, testified that her district has borrowed $25 million. Interest, attorney and banking fees will cost them about $450,000, and lost interest from cashing out investments will cost another $700,000, she estimated. Cook County Commissioners haven’t been able to answer when the tax distribution dollars will start flowing.
Just an example of incompetence of IL officials at state, county, and local levels. This is just the first example of what’s to come as a result of DEI policies, nepotism, union dominance, reckless spending with no rainy day savings. These local officials, schools, libraries, and parks, also budget to the edge with no contingency plans. And the taxpayers pay for the incompetence and voter apathy. Move to a state with more accountability.

Vote Preckwinkle and her Democratic cronies out. She should be impeached for putting school districts in financial jeopardy
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
