Cook County voters to give opinion on statewide millionaire tax – The Record

The Cook County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously earlier this month to add an advisory referendum to the county’s Nov. 3 general election ballot gauging support for a statewide millionaire tax.

The mobility of millionaires is heavily underestimated by leftists.

Income tax on a million is $50K add the millionaire tax of $30K you now pay $80K. Once you leave the state loses $50K every year that they would have otherwise had. I’m curious if it’s a constitutional amendment and it’s on the ballot as only applicable to income over $1M can they then change it to income of $500K. I’m assuming they’re using this advisory referendum as an advertisement for the “Millionaire Tax” but when we actually vote on it they’ll still call it the Millionaire Tax but the wording will be different so they can apply it to… Read more »

Tax the Millionaires heavy and you will get the money once. After that they will live somewhere else and you will never get any more money.
