Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. When this happens , immediately dispatch a couple of dozen garbage trucks or snow plows to the streets leading into that intersection and block any escape from the center.. Arrest everyone caught in that intersection and impound all of the vehicles.
If you can prove that you were not there to watch the show you will not be charged.

Confiscating vehicles is a great idea except……. I imagine many of those vehicles have outstanding loans and there is this thing called the “innocent owner” exception. A car is seized and there is a $5000 loan on it, the financial institution cant be held responsible and suffer the loss for the actions of the driver. Court cases have upheld this theory, there are exceptions to that rule. Complicated issue. Seize the vehicles, return them to the lender with the provision that they may not return it to the original owner, it must be sold to another outlet at least 1000… Read more »
