CPD Police Supt. Brown says homicides, shootings down compared to March 2021- CBS2 (Chicago)

Chicago Police Supt. David Brown said crime in the city appears to be improving, with homicides down 17% this month, compared to March of last year, and shootings down 14% this month. Regarding illegal guns, Brown says more than 2,200 have come off the streets this year alone.

Stats for March? It’s still March, how can you declare improvement?

Of course it’s down from the same month a year ago. He is comparing 71 percent of March 22 to 100 percent of March 21.It is worse than comparing apples and oranges. He is comparing horse dung to cow manure. Take it from a guy who grew up on a farm. They are not the same
