CPD Supt. Brown announces new community policing plan – WGNTV (Chicago)

The new Community Policing Strategy Plan includes the creation of a police athletic and arts league to engage the city’s youth, a reimagining of the city’s previous policing strategy, and the appointment of officers to work as liaisons to the city’s LGBTQ, homeless, immigrant and and religious communities.

If it results in more snitches, its worth it I guess, without an increase of resident snitches I cant think of where they are going with this. I’m reminded of the old Any Griffith episode where Barney gave some armed criminals they were holding in the cell a Mr Potato Head game in an effort to rehabilitate them.

It looks like Brownies plan is working. Mostly peaceful mass shootings this morning at 04:00. Shell casings everywhere including rifle rounds. Shootings are skyrocketing. Lori?? Wasn’t this incident in Rev Mike’s yard.

Valerie Jarrett should pay the difference. Or better yet , don’t build a library dedicated to one of the worst presidents ever and spend the money on the community . If you really care…..

The loss of SCC has emboldened these cockroaches. SCC turned the lights on to these useless, stupid and corrupt fools for years. Now they have less worries of being exposed.

Brownie should be arrested and jailed for impersonating a police officer. There is no way this fool on the hill could ever have been a real Cop.

You can always count on Chicago politicians to hire the most useless hack that they can find.

“community policing” its about time all the people in the community were encouraged to carry firearms and training so they can go out and do some ‘policing’. The cops are afraid to police anymore, I don’t blame them, go fetal, go slow to calls, stay in the squad car, don’t chase, fill out paperwork to the letter, etc. You’ll be sued into bankruptcy if you make a mistake or locked up, I make over 200k a year developing software, at home. A cop makes much less to get killed, its just not worth it, it takes a special person to… Read more »

This is just another give away of taxpayer dollars to politically connected gang bangers and fake community organizations. This is how Lori and the black caucus particularly Sophia King are building their political workers base for the next election. And the stupid idiot sjw idiots in Chicago can’t see it.

“Basketball” no longer solution. Gangbangers aren’t swayed by availability of midnight basketball games and basket-weaving courses. New “new plan”, just another retread of old plan, is really another hand-out of tax-funds to politically-connected SJW “community organizations”. Though SJW organizations do fund-raising, most revenue comes from governmental agency grants. These SJW organizations, and their senior execs, income ultimately rely upon rationalizing and enabling other people’s dysfunctional and often clearly criminal behaviors. These SJW organizations, and their SJW employees, are financially dependent upon continuation of social problems to justify their existence. Let’s face it, “community organizer” is probably fastest-growing career opportunity remaining… Read more »

A lifetime of watching politics in Chicago and we’re still getting reruns of “the creation of a police athletic and arts league to engage the city’s youth.” What a joke. Let the PD do professional police work and let artists and athletes do their thing. The arts and athletics are indeed wonderful and rewarding, but nothing has prevented the proper funding and promotion of these splendid endeavors more than our own political leadership has.

Hey Brown and Lightfoot- It’s not going to work! End of story.
Lock up and keep locked up the thugs- That works!

Any significant effort requires community involvement! Yes!, good idea; a parade! Teens and young adults, our at most risk family. March on Dearborn to Holy Name Cathedral for a closing twerking contest from the “ crying moms “ dance crew.. Brown is laughing up his sleeve. Lori wants flowery flapdoodle? OK.

About a hundred midnight basketball leagues will solve all the violence issues. Who is running the city and the police department? Dumb and Dumber!

I read this plan and it’s the dumbest S**t I’ve ever read. Their crime reduction strategy is to be ‘woke’!

You all best be prepared for one of the longest and most violent summers in Chicago history cause this s**t ain’t gonna work.

At first I thought the plan was a joke! Who expects this silly thing to work? Maybe the leaders can get together and pray on this. That would be equally effective.
