CPD’s Increasing Use of Force Threatens Consent Decree Push: Illinois Attorney General – WTTW (Chicago)

“The use of deadly force has increased from 2022 to 2024, and CPD is pointing guns at community members more often,” Assistant Attorney General Mike Tresnowski told Judge Rebecca Pallmeyer. “These are increases based on CPD’s own data collection. These are not the patterns and trends we would expect from a department that’s approaching full compliance with the use of force section of the consent decree.”

So let’s blame the police for being excessively violent when they are being ambushed and increasingly shot at all the time! Ridiculous! Typical left wing, corrupt Illinois political figure. Why doesn’t he do a ride-along in one of the several violent districts and see if his survival instincts kick in without caring a firearm. Idiot!

Ridiculous “consent degree” ridiculous investigations by CPD oversight agency, COPA, ridiculous idea that policing is a gentle job when dealing with violent people, ridiculous oversight on anything an officer does. In 2009 there were 61 police involved shooting, so far in 2025 19. 4 months of this year there were no fatal police shootings yet with approx 2.5 to 3 million interactions with cops involving multiple issues the cops are out of control, ridiculous, BS! May i suggest checking HEYJACKASS.COM to see the numbers from 2012 until this year. On a side note anybody who considers jointing the CPD,DON’T.
