Given the insane level of violence on the CTA, is it a good idea to encourage unaccompanied children to use it?

Having these little darlings walk to school like I did would be a start with the increase in diabetes, heart disease and obesity that kids,l have now.

Back in the day we found our way to school without school buses. We bought a student pass and used the bus/rail system.

Why not take the money pays for school buses and purchase transit passes – probably save a bundle AND be better for the environment.
