CPS students walk out to demand City Council support ceasefire in Gaza – Chicago Tribune/Yahoo

At around a dozen high schools across the city Tuesday, hundreds of Chicago Public Schools students have planned walkouts to demand their aldermen vote in favor of a cease-fire resolution scheduled for City Council Wednesday. Layth Awd, an alumnus of Lincoln Park High School, said the goal of the walkout was to put aldermen on notice that “we’re watching their actions...If they want the youth to vote for them in the next election, they should stand with the cease-fire (resolution)."

I bet if you asked them what happened in Israel on October 7th all you would get is a blank look on their faces.

I bet most of them know exactly what happened, and that’s why this is such a tragedy. They call the atrocities a justified #resistance against settler colonialism. Leftists are hateful people. The last 100 years – even 300 years if you go back to the French Revolution, the leftists are angry, violent and hateful people, who just want to hurt people.

Those are CPS students? There is no way possible that they wrote the signs themselves as most of them underperform in every aspect of the so called education system in the city.

The city’s delusional future leaders-

Don’t know much about history
Don’t know much biology
Don’t know much about a science book
Don’t know much about the French they took

But they know they’ll be on the news
And they think if you watch them too
What a wonderful world this would be

That fellow holding the sign looks like he’s sporting a pair of natural ingrown diddy-boppers! I wonder if they carry them at ULTA Beauty.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
