CPS teachers to get 12 weeks of paid parental leave – CBS2 (Chicago)

"All of us working together will continue to make our public school system stronger for teachers and students," Mayor Brandon Johnson said, standing beside CTU President Stacy Davis Gates. Currently, birthing parents get up to eight weeks and non-birthing parents get two weeks.

Hey give them all the time off they want 12 16 weeks who cares there’re will be so many so called teaches off and nobody left to teach maybe just maybe parents will wake up and start removing there kids more and more then bingo public schools in Chicago will be doa.

Time-off benefits for IL public school teachers shouldn’t be on a par with most private-sector workers because the teachers work significantly less hours per year.

Hmm, I don’t remember any nuns getting parental leave in the 60’s (or going on strike either!)
