This is Keynes saying that the government should pay people should dig holes and then pay others to fill them back in. Building a rail line terminating in one of the most violent and poorest places in Chicago is arguably the worst idea ever.
This area from 95th to 130th streets is one of the least densely populated areas in Chicago. One you drive past 99th St. you cannot even see any houses from the highway. It’s the one area is Chicago that you can accurately call a wasteland.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
